Arturia Software announces "Analog Factory"
Arturia Software just released press infos on their newest emulated analog heavyweight software synthesizer; Analog Factory.
There is nothing on their official website as of yet (Mai 22, 2006), and there have no review versions been past out by them, so I can only offer the official press release fotos and pdf file on the synthesizer.
Being curious about the synth itself, what it can do and of course how it sounds... I’m also curious to know whether it’s a huge performance hog as earlier Arturia softsynths or if this is yet another great sounding, but “gas guzzling” piece of emulation software... of course with today's high end G5 Macs or coming Dual Binary Machines (Analog Factory will be shipped as UB) or the already available Mac Book Pro's this doesn't fall into weight as much anymore... (unlike me with my very stable - but insanely loud and the longer the more performance stalling Dual 1Ghz G4)
The concept reminds me of NI's Kore; various homemade synths/audioengines/emulators, presets and controllers combined in one GUI...
Since recently, you need a Syncrosoft USB dongle to be able to download the newer Arturia product-demos, a bit unfortunate if you don’t own one and just want to give it a test run.
I’ll “tweakview” blog more about the product itself, if I manage to get my hands on a review copy of the software, which is most unlikely though... ;-)
(Although out of fairness I have to mention that I actually HAVE received a review copy NFR from Arturia before; The CS80V – that particular synth though was reviewed by a colleague: read CS80V review @ www.logiuser.de

ARTURIA announces ANALOG FACTORY
Grenoble, FRANCE – May 22, 2006
ARTURIA is proud to announce the upcoming release of ANALOG FACTORY.
This powerful yet extremely easy to use virtual instrument comes loaded with 2000 legendary synthesizer sounds that have shaped modern music production.
